As part of a term paper, they will independently work on a topic from the field of energy and environmental economics. Students will also give a 15-minute presentation on this topic, which will be discussed afterwards. Successful participation (term paper, presentation, and participation in the discussion) will be awarded a certificate.

Organizational: Laura EisfeldGroup Assignments and Topics Group assignment No Topics Three to four topic categories from the field of energy and environmental economics will be announced in the first week of lectures (list on Stud.IP).
Assignment of topics The students independently develop and define a relevant and current topic from one of the given topic categories and with the help of the introductory literature.

Topic presentation / topic assignment On October 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in person (room will be announced via Stud.IP). Students will present their proposed topic in a short presentation followed by a discussion (maximum 5 minutes presentation, 5-10 minutes of questions and feedback), including motivation, relevance, research question, and structure. This meeting is intended to provide students with feedback on their proposed topic and allow them to incorporate this feedback into their work.
